The dignity of a sexual assault survivor leaving the hospital in new clothes, rather than borrowed scrubs. These are the people we serve. The lives we touch.
Assistance League of Denver (ALD) has been serving the greater Denver community for 64 years.
A nonprofit organization comprised completely of volunteers, ALD helps vulnerable children and adults through innovative programs tailored to the needs of our community. In our fiscal year ending May 2022, Assistance League of Denver served 11,040 people and returned $812,000 to meet the needs of people in our community. ALD’s mission is to make life better for the vulnerable in our community while focusing on enriching lives, inspiring hope, and enhancing learning. Last year our members devoted 34,000 hours to service.
Our philanthropic programs target underserved populations in three areas: Students and Families, Health and Wellness Services, and Senior Programs. Key to the success of these programs is to incorporate community feedback to ensure we are addressing acute needs as well as providing ongoing, transformational support.
Your generous donation can help clothe a school child, provide them with supplies, and give them independent reading books. You can help send an entire class on a field trip to a place they could otherwise not afford to visit, or you can help bring an arts program to the whole school! Your selfless gift can help provide hospital equipment to an invalid who otherwise would not recuperate, or your gift can provide clothes to a victim of sexual assault.
